June Person Handwoven Designs has been in business since 1988 first weaving table linens which were sold and enjoyed throughout the Pacific Northwest.
At that time June wove cotton towels, placemats, runners with original designs featuring apples (since she is in "apple country" of WashingtonState), also pears, grapes, pinecones, fir trees and custom designs for B&B's and individuals.
Always being creative with design and color, June also was making the Reign Coat, though it was first known as the Happy Coat. The choice of fiber then was rayon chenille.
She also wove wool fabric for custom order constructed coats and vests, and small blankets.
Along with studio sales, the booth of Handwoven Designs was popular at juried craft shows in Washington and Idaho, and participated in the Best of Northwest Show in Seattle for 10 years.
Handwoven Designs is now a home-based weaving business in East Wenatchee, Washington.
June no longer travels to shows; only at holiday time she participates in local shows.
She has had wovens at various outlets throughout the States, but at the present time you can find Reign Coats and Simple Tops at WeavingSouthwest in Taos, New Mexico.
The Reign Coat continues to be a popular and constant seller since it was first designed, as it is a flattering fit for all ladies.
And June continues to love weaving it. | Also a dealer for: Schacht Spindle Co Inc.
